Interval Method®

A Scientific Reset
For Your Nervous
System

Created by Virginia Parmentola, Physiotherapist & Neurological Specialist. A proprietary six-phase protocol designed to shift your nervous system out of chronic stress and into deep restoration.

The Protocol

"Not a yoga class. Not a massage. Not meditation. It is conducted through the INTERVAL METHOD®, a proprietary six-phase protocol — sequenced in a specific, non-negotiable order."

What is the Soft Reset?

A structured,
two-hour experience

It is a structured, two-hour sensory and somatic experience designed to do one thing with precision: shift your nervous system out of chronic stress and into deep restoration.

Not a yoga class. Not a massage. Not meditation.

It is conducted through the INTERVAL METHOD®, a proprietary six-phase protocol — sequenced in a specific, non-negotiable order — that works with your body's own physiology to produce a measurable reset of the autonomic nervous system.

Why your nervous system needs this

Modern life keeps most of us locked in sympathetic dominance — the biological state of alertness, vigilance and low-grade threat response known as fight-or-flight. Over time, this chronic activation quietly erodes sleep quality, immune function, cardiovascular health, digestion and emotional regulation.

The antidote is not rest alone. It is deliberate, science-backed activation of the parasympathetic nervous system — specifically, the vagus nerve.

The vagus nerve is the body's primary conductor of calm. When properly stimulated, it reduces heart rate, lowers blood pressure, decreases inflammation, and signals to every system in your body: you are safe. You can recover now.

Evidence-Based

The Science Behind
The Method

Every phase of INTERVAL is grounded in peer-reviewed research — systematic reviews, meta-analyses and randomised controlled trials, representing the highest levels of available scientific evidence.

The method integrates five evidence-based modalities, each selected for their documented effect on autonomic nervous system regulation and vagal tone. Their combination, sequence and application within INTERVAL constitute the proprietary core of the method.

Documented physiological effects include significant increases in heart rate variability (HRV) — the gold-standard biomarker of autonomic health — reduction of sympathetic activity, and measurable shifts in perceived stress, anxiety and fatigue.

The full scientific rationale and technical documentation is available upon request for medical professionals, researchers and institutional collaborators.

The Protocol

The Six Phases — In Order, Always

The sequence is invariable. This is not aesthetic — it is physiological. Each phase prepares the system for the next. Altering the order would reduce or eliminate the cumulative effect.

I

Arrival & Reception

Transition from daily life. Sensory environment preparation.

II

Anchoring

Progressive reduction of heart rate and sympathetic activity through breathwork and interoceptive attention.

III

Conscious Movement

Low-intensity functional movement targeting the body's primary stress-holding structures.

IV

Manual Work

Individual hands-on techniques applied directly to each participant, stimulating parasympathetic pathways through targeted tactile input.

V

Deep Restoration

Guided stillness with active sensory support. The nervous system consolidates the reset.

VI

Closing & Integration

A conscious return to presence. A personal intention for the days ahead. The physiological reset is anchored at a cognitive and behavioural level.

Measurable Outcomes

Documented Results

  • Significant reduction in perceived stress and mental fatigue
  • Decrease in state anxiety
  • Improved sleep quality
  • Enhanced interoception and emotional regulation
  • A state of relaxed alertness — sustained attention with reduced physiological arousal

Clinical Measurement

The Visual Analogue Scale (EVA)

INTERVAL incorporates the Visual Analogue Scale — a validated clinical instrument — to document the effect of each session. Participants self-assess before and immediately after, generating real data on real outcomes.

Every Session

Preparation,
Every Time

Before each session, every participant completes a personalised intake questionnaire covering medical history, physical conditions and general wellbeing. Exercises are adapted individually where needed. The structure of the method remains intact.

This is not a group class where you disappear into the room. We attend to each guest personally.

Who is it for?

People navigating high-pressure environments, seeking a sophisticated session led by a physiotherapist.

Those whose body carries the weight of the week — tension in the jaw, neck, or a mind that simply won't stop racing.

Anyone who values professional expertise and an experience grounded in the anatomy of stress.

The Creator

About Virginia Parmentola

Virginia created INTERVAL from years of clinical practice — listening to bodies not just as physiological systems, but as carriers of unprocessed stress, accumulated tension and unexpressed need for pause.

INTERVAL METHOD® is her proprietary protocol — developed, clinically documented and registered — born from the intersection of scientific rigour and sensory refinement.

Physiotherapist · Neurological Specialist · Founder

Creator of the INTERVAL METHOD® — a proprietary somatic protocol registered with INPI. Designed to produce a measurable reset of the autonomic nervous system through a precise, non-negotiable six-phase sequence.
